THE SAINT, THE SLAIN AND THE SINNER

The skeletons in the cupboard, the darkest secrets of the past, the secret sin and the demons we battle with in the secrets. And yet we are saints?

The pride of life, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, self and all the works of the flesh we still battle with. And yet we are slained?

The charade, the facade, the make up, the mask, the beautiful clothing we adorn ourselves with and the perfumes we use to hide the stench of our sin… and yet we are saints?

The hunger, the thirst, the longing, the yearning, the craving in the depth of our hearts for a change   –so ignored. And yet we are slained?

The quest for power, the desperate need to belong, the strange desire to accumulate, the extent to which we can go to get what we want, the unhealthy competitions, the lies… and yet we are saints?

Have we not all sinned and fallen short?
Not one is righteous!
Yet the ultimate price has been paid!
The blood!
His death!
Need we pay for the gift of salvation by being religious?!

Die daily!

Walk in the spirit!

Exude the fruit of the spirit!
Stop! Sinner!

Be slained in the spirit!
Become a Saint!

Selah!
